SBS/POP3 connector issue

I got a issue that pop3 connector is not working properly. We cannot receive pop3 account email successfully. However, if we setup pop3 email account in their local outlook, it will work properly. <br>
<br>
The following error message appears in the event log. We have already tried clear the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) option but the problem persists. When using telnet to log on the server and inputting the password for the user, "ERR could not determine server" will appear.<br>

The POP3 server (mailbox <pop.XXX.com [joelewy]>) does not support Secure Password Authentication (SPA). Using POP3 Connector Manager, clear the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) check box for the specified mailbox(es). If you are concerned about securing your password, contact your ISP.<br>

Access was denied to the mailbox <pop.XXX.com> logging on as <joelewy>. Verify the password for the mailbox account, and try again.<br>
